Best Meeting Place in Fukuoka?
Recently, a friend of mine in Tokyo was talking about the Hachiko Statue in Tokyo. He was telling me that it was the best and easiest land mark or meeting place in Tokyo. Of course I knew this and knew of the statue and the story very well. It got me thinking as to what is the best place to meet up with people in Fukuoka. I thought long and hard about this and of course there probably is one good place, but I thought that multiple sites would be better, depending on the purpose of the meet up.
So what is the best meeting point in Fukuoka? That’s a difficult question to answer but we will try to answer it. I guess it all depends on what your plan is? If you are trying to do a language exchange it will be different then if you are meeting to go shopping or to a bar. Here are several of our favorite meeting points:
- Ohori Koen (Park) Mr. Donuts.
- The statue in from of Hakata Station. You know the strange looking modern art one.
- The English Magazine section of any book store
- In Rainbow Plaza in the IMS Building in Tenjin.
- Freshness Burger in Nishijin
- In front of the HardRock Cafe
- Mos Burger on Oyafuko Dori (street)
- Subway Sandwich Shop in Tenjin
- Kona Cafe across from Ohori Koen
- Kego Koen (Park)
How about you? What are your favorite meeting spots? Feel free to add them in the comments section of this post and we will add them to the list!
