Hamasaki Ayumi or Ayumi Hamasaki or just Ayu….Whatever you want to call her, you have to say she is the biggest singer songwriter to come out of Fukuoka, Japan ever!! She is the embodiment of Japanese Pop Culture, Music, and Fashion.
Ayu was born in Fukuoka October 2, 1978. She was raised in Fukuoka by her mother and grandmother, since her father left them at a young age. She moved to Tokyo at the age of 14 to presue a carrier in entertainment. Before hitting it big she also did some modeling and acting.
Now every single movement she makes and thing she does is in the public eye. If she changes her hair color, so does a good portion of Japan. If she wears a certain style of clothes, so does a big portion of Japan. She is THE BIGGEST POP STAR IN JAPAN and her music and fashion has spread to other parts of Asia as well.
