Winter Surfing in Fukuoka [Video]
Dec 28th
Went out to Futamigaura on Sunday for a drive and found some pretty nice waves!! It was a little cold but the sun was out, which made it a nice day. If It wasn’t so cold I would have jumped in to do some bodyboarding, but since I am from Hawaii I can’t handle the cold water.
After watching the surfing we at at Hinode Tacos. The tacos were excellent!! I recommend that you stop by and have some the next time you are out near Futamigaura. Or if you don’t have anything to do, get in your car and drive out there, you wont regret it!

Fukuoka Guitar and Music Shops
Aug 5th
There are lots of good music and guitar stores in Fukuoka, Japan. Right in Tenjin there are three that come to mind. The first two are right next to each other. One is in the Tenjin Core building on the 7th floor, and the second one is right next door in the IMS building. If you want a good guitar only shop there is one on Watanabe Dori (Street) just past Daimaru near the 7-11, sorry I don’t remember the name. I just picked up a Made in Japan Fender Telecaster and a small Fender Amp at Shimamura Music in the IMS building the other day. If you are bored and want something to do, it’s a blast to go to a music store and play around with the guitars, drums, and keyboards
.

RC Drifting at Uras in Fukuoka
Mar 5th

Remote Control Drift Cars are really big in Japan at the moment and it looks to be growing bigger and bigger. People of all ages, genders, and walks of life are doing it. RC Drift Otaku’s are spending $1000 of dollars on gear to make their cars faster, slide better, and on of course rechargeable battery packs. It’s not a cheap hobby but it’s A LOT cheaper than drifting in real life!!

Here is a little unedited video I took with my Casio point-and-shoot camera the other day.
Here is a link to their RC Drifting Blog (in Japanese but with lots of pictures)
Hakata Live Web Camera

Hakata Webcam
There are several live web cameras in Fukuoka. This web camera link below is one in Hakata and gives the user the ability to control the camera’s movement. You can control back and forth, and up and down. Plus it has 8 preset buttons to the left that you can just click. It’s better if you have a broadband connection to view this (if you don’t then why are you even on the internet?)

Fukuoka Video: Welcome to Fukuoka Japan
Nov 23rd

Here is a video that one of the Fukuoka, Japan FaceBook Group members Daniel Ashley found. It appears to be made by a government agency or by a travel agency. It shows a little bit of just about everything you can do in and around Fukuoka, Japan. It’s probably one of the best Fukuoka promotional videos I have seen, if not the best. Do you think it represents Fukuoka well?

Fukuoka From the Air
Oct 19th
Here is a short video taken from an airplane leaving Fukuoka International Airport. It was filmed on my FlipVideo Camera. It was a little overcast and hazy the day I took the video, but you can get an idea of the size of the city.
